Hi this is the paragraph relating to the Hello world blog post.
Regenerative agriculture to us means to better understand soil, nature, plants and how they interact together. It is our job as farmers to grow nutritionally dense food while growing soil. Engrained Flour Co. began out of our stark realization that, while we were growing grain to “feed the world”, we ourselves did not eat one thing that we had growing on our own land. We were literally surrounded by our own fields of wheat, oats, barley, etc. but we bought our flour at the store like everybody else.
This started our journey of milling our own flour for our family’s consumption. We wanted to eat our own products because we know where they come from and we know the passion behind growing them. Our goal is to provide our customers with a more nutritious product, with an extremely small transparent food supply chain. All of our flour is stone-milled in small batches right here in Manitoba. We grow the grain, we sell the flour, it doesn’t get any simpler than that.
Chris and Lindsey Raupers own and operate Cardale Grain Corporation, the farm behind Engrained Flour Co., located in Southwestern Manitoba. Since 2017 we have been incorporating regenerative agriculture practices into our farming operation. We truly believe that focusing on soil health and giving the plants what they need when they need it, produces a better product that is ultimately better for you.
